About these digital photographs...

These photographs were made without the use of any film or chemicals. And not a single drop of water was wasted in the processing of them. (If you don't count the cups of coffee I drank while working on them, of course)

These images were made using a high resolution digital camera manufactured at Kodak's Rochester Elmgrove plant, and just down the hall from where my lab is. Some of the images were taken with the Kodak DCS460 (Nikon body), but most were taken with the Kodak EOSÄDCS1 (Canon body) digital camera. The resolution of these images is approximately 3000 x 2000 pixels or 18mb each.

The images are stored on a removable PCMCIA hard disk in the camera and can be easily be transferred to your computer. Once in your computer, software like Adobe's Photoshop allows you to enhance and manipulate the images in ways you could only dream about being able to do in a darkroom.

Because you have ability to control almost every aspect of the final image down to the pixel level, I feel that the quality of these digital images can in many ways surpass that of images created on traditional 35mm slide film.
