| BACKGROUND |
Site established in December, 1995 on
Artie Romero's AOL member page, moved to domain artie(dot)com in July, 1996. Continuously improved and
expanded, the site now includes over 28,300 documents, and gets 35 million to 73 million hits per
month. ARG! produces cartoon animation for film, TV, the Web and software. Clients include Duracell, Safeco Insurance, Columbia/TriStar, Raytheon Company and PBS.
BIO: Artie Romero is a publisher, an artist, editor, animation producer and director...a
man of many talents and interests with the drive and vision to pursue them with gusto. He
was called to art from very early on and among his many accomplishments are included the
creation of ARG! Cartoon Animation (/), an animation studio/web design
house, and the co-founding of Everyman Studios, an artists co-op. In the late 1970's, he
was editor and publisher of the alternative comic book imprint, Everyman Comics and
afterwards pursued his burgeoning love of animation. |
